Review: Laguso Competition Shirts

Lightweight, stylish, well fitting, easy wearing, flattering – just some of the ways to describe the Laguso Competition Shirt range!

As a jumping competitor in SA, we compete in quite varied temperatures through winter and the peak of summer, with days getting to 38 degrees often. It has been a series of trial and error in finding clothing which is not only sun protective, but also cool enough to wear on these hot days in our dry heat.

The first garment I bought that sparked my love affair with this brand was the VIVIEN Sparkle – the fit of this shirt is very flattering, particularly for riders who are a little more ‘normal’ sized like myself. The fabric is extremely lightweight and cool to wear, but does not static cling to your body, so lumps and bumps are hidden well! The other design aspect I love is that the collar is soft to wear against your skin, and the zip up neck means you can quickly unzip and cool down after riding.

Laguso Vivien Sparkle

The styles of shirts have been designed with the female figure in mind, so offer design aspects to draw eye contact and detract from the usual areas we do not like so much. Subtle dots, bold stripes and geometric prints set this brand apart from the others.

Sizing of Laguso shirts is very much like any regular Australian fashion brand. For example, if you usually wear a Large in tops and tee’s, you will be a Large in Laguso also. This is a fitted style, so if you want a little extra room in your shirt then we suggest taking a size up.

With so many gorgeous designs, short and long sleeve, bib front, zip-through or buttons – incredible thermoregulatory properties, a little bit of bling and even hole details; there is a shirt in the range that has your name all over it!

If ever you need fitting advice or want to run a few questions past us, get in touch and we will help get you into this new and incredibly popular brand.
